Day 4

Not too bad, not great but not bad...
B-fast Cereal Raisin Bran
Lunch Rudy's yes thats three times this week, I had clients in-town and they wanted bbq.
snacks, cookies and kashi muti-grain crackers
dinner, 1/2 of a cheese frozen pizza
and the requisite dc for the day.

I did a little better. I am now worried about what I am going to eat cause i have to write it down. I am starting to look forward to the 'new diet' and the exercise portion. I want to thank my three fans, Chrissta, Jaylene and Lisa. Thank you all for the tips and encouragement.

The Simpsons are on and Homer is running a Marathon, takes three steps and says he hit a wall, then recovers, then hits a wall again, recovers and hit another one... LOL, I hope that is not a sign...

Josh, you are way better than Homer ever dreamed of being. I also have started trying to watch my intake, you have inspired me! Keep up the good work and don't get down on yourself. Remember I'm always in your corner rooting you on.

You are "rockin' the Casbah" Josh! I think you are so right - when you are writing down all that you eat in a day, you put more thought into WHAT you eat - which ends up working in your favor!

LOL! I love that image of Homer... That is sooooooo me - DOH!

Rah, Rah! Love, JayLene

Hope you can add one more fan to your portfolio. That would be me!
Self-improvement is always to be commended.
Don't you just hate to have to think about food all of the time? Man, I do!
You and I both know people that could eat us under the table and they are as skinny as a stick.
Who said "all men are created equal"? Posh, Posh. Posh. That is what I have to say.
Dr Heder has told us that the mediterannean diet is the very best over all eating plan.
He has also cautioned us about the use of margarine and the danger of that.
He encourages us to whip a cube of Butter with olive oil and use it for cooking or spread. And actually I beleive "I can't beleive it's not Butter" is making a spread that is exactly that.
Also the old saying "an apple a day, keeps the Dr. away" has been scientifically proven to have merit in diet and intestinal health.
The natural pectin is very healthy and creates a more stable environment in the intestines. I don't know if you are drinking a fiber drink daily, but that too is a very healthy thing to do. And you can't drink too much of it. You will know when you have. If you know what I mean. Then you just cut back on the amount.
Boy, we have sure hit a wall.
Will try harder.

Man I gotta give you credit for being a hero. I went for 2 months, writing every bite down and sending that and my bloos sugars to the Dr. and guess what, I gained 2 pounds. As Mom said the chemo has done a number on me but I am still trying. Last time I went to the Dr I had gained sic pounds. I can't believe it but I am still trying. I have a hard time with the exersize thing but have been working hard in the yard and I think that counts.
I know you can do this and that you will succeed. Doing it for you is the important thing.
I love you son and am in your corner.
Love
