It has been a while

So this has been an interesting year. I am not sure if its been cause of my age, socioeconomic status, (I really don't think it has anything to do with that I just wanted to see if I could spell it), or all the kids being out of the house or what. But life is weird isn't it. I seem to be battling against my self. The inner ying and yang thing is driving me crazy. It seems like when ever anything positive happens I have to go ruin it for myself. Example, I worked out then I ate meatloaf and then Captain Crunch (Huge Bowl or two). This sort of behavior is counter productive Why can't I let good things be? Ah well I guess I will just need to keep on trying.

So that was some election eh? I was impressed by both candidates speeches I thought that John McCain was very gracious and very statesmanlike. I was also very impressed by Obama's speech. It was very positive and I thought, inspiring. I was at Byron and Tara's when they announced Obama had won. Byron was away on business but he called Tara and said now I can tell my boys they can be anything they want. This really put it in perspective for me as have not been personally affected by race. I am optimistic about the future of our nation. I hope that he can do what he says. Should be an interesting couple of terms.

I work with the Josh-man and I love his blog. I secretly aspire to have my own blog, but (at nearly a half century) I am a digital-immigrant, as opposed to a digital-native (like my kids and Josh) so I really don’t completely understand how these things work. All I know, is that every once-in-a-while, I love checking to see if Josh has posted to his blog. He makes me laugh. This time I chuckle at the comment about “socioeconomic” status and how hard that word is to spell. The only way I just got it right, was because I am writing this in MS Word and will then attempt to copy/paste over to the Josh-man Blog. Interesting to me is the fact that MS Word does not recognize the word blog, and keeps putting the red squiggly underneath the word blog, which I just love saying, so I keep writing it. Blog, blog, blog, I am now a blogger. Thanks Josh, yet another good thing you have done! I am now a blogger. *** Oh sh&*$, I was afraid this would happen, I just hit the "Publish your comment" button and it tells me incorrect openID url? What the hell is that all about?

Okay, I did it. I see the comment is there, including my bad language. I tell my kids, "stay above reproach," and yet I go and post my first blog with bad language. At least it was an anonymous post, and will stay so, until somebody tells me how to post using an identity? What is a blogger account?

Hey Bud; Love your comments.
Dang, the fact that food tastes good is just such a curse.
Yay, on any amount of exercise you can accomplish. I am the "biggest loser" so to speak when it comes to that whole commitment.
As I have said in another recent post. My mark didn't go beside the name of Obama, however I am ready to support the man in the office he holds. Just do not agree with the whole Gun control, abortion, and same sex marriage platform as he does.
But, how wonderful that our nation has come so far as to vote for someone of mixed race. I too thrilled at the possibilities for mine and others Grandchildren.
Have a great Day
